# api.dermliving.com

> Dermatology knowledge API for humans and agents. Structured condition records, terminology mapping (ICD-10-CM, ICD-11), evidence passages with provenance, and grounded answers with claim-level citations. Reference knowledge for software: it does not diagnose, choose or dose treatment, or triage, and those questions return a typed abstention. Send no patient data.

The sandbox is keyless and synthetic: every call below works with no account and no key, on clearly labeled synthetic data (publisher "DermLiving Sandbox Reference"). Knowledge version kv_2026_10_01; API version 2026-10-01.

## Machine surfaces

- [agents.json](/.well-known/agents.json): the capability card and probe manifest
- [openapi.json](/openapi.json): the OpenAPI 3.1 contract for every route below
- [icp.json](/icp.json): who this serves, the agent classes, and the identity ladder
- [pricing](/pricing): the Pricing Document (proposed rates, not yet binding; nothing is billed)
- [llms.txt](/llms.txt): this file
- [MCP](/mcp): Model Context Protocol over streamable HTTP, five read-only tools

## Try it with no key

- [GET /conditions](/conditions): the keyless collection of condition records (typed OK | EMPTY | BLOCKED)
- [GET /v1/conditions?query=eczema](/v1/conditions?query=eczema): the v1 contract
- [GET /v1/terminology/map?text=AD](/v1/terminology/map?text=AD): a term resolved, with ambiguity flagged
- POST /v1/knowledge/ask {"question":"Where does atopic dermatitis usually appear in adults?"}: a grounded answer with citations

## Boundaries

- Reference knowledge, not a medical device. Clinical decisions stay with qualified professionals.
- /conditions?scope=patient-records and ?scope=diagnosis answer a typed BLOCKED: patient records never cross this API, and diagnosis is a clinical decision.
- Humans: the docs, playground and API reference are at https://dermliving.com/docs.
